Sanjay Gadhvi who directed the successful ‘Dhoom’ series is being charged of cheating by The Indian Film Company Distribution Pvt Ltd. The company has put the case before the additional chief metropolitan magistrate in New Delhi. The company has claimed loss worth 5.2 crore due to Gadhvi.

According to a close hand, Indian film signed Sanjay Gadhvi in January 2008 and paid him 4 crores in advance. The first film ‘7 days in Paris’ was supposed to start by October 2008. Imran and Katrina were approached and they even gave dates but since the final draft wasn’t ready, the actors went ahead with their other commitments. The same case happened with Neil Nitin Mukesh and Genelia.

Finally, the studio has decided to file a case against Sanjay Gadhvi.

The court has agreed that there is sufficient material to proceed with the complaint and matter has been kept for recording evidence. The company has claimed that apart from paying Gadhvi an advance of about Rs 4 crore for two films, it had also hired production crew and sent teams to Paris, Prague and other places.
